Miranda Vigil
Miranda VigilMy name is Miranda Vigil, and I am a teacher here at the Early Head Start. I have been working with the Early Head Start since October 2016. I first became interested in working with children through subbing throughout the West Las Vegas District. I found myself eager to work with the younger children and decided to make a change in my life for my family and I, and decided to go back to school to earn an Early Childhood Degree. I earned my Associates in Early Childhood from Luna Community College in 2016, and a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education from New Mexico Highlands University in 2020. I graduated from West Las Vegas High School in 2007.
I have learned so much from my peers and also from the children I work with. It is an amazing feeling seeing them soak up all that we have taught them and witness them growing from infants to toddlers. I enjoy building the relationship with my students, as well as their parents, so that they feel as comfortable as can be and know that they are always welcome in our classroom. I was a student in the Head Start, a parent of Head Start students, and believe in the impact and influence of the program because I have witnessed it firsthand. I encourage all parents to register their children in the program. I love working with my infants/toddlers and their families and look forward to many more years here.
